Town Manager Takes New Job, Announces Resignation

After more than five years leading the Boiling Springs government, Town Manager Tom Hart has formally tendered his resignation. Hart has accepted the City Manager position in Clinton, NC effective December 29, 2017. “Boiling Springs has been an incredible community to live in and serve. I’m proud of the work I have done together with the citizens, Town Council, and staff,” said Hart.

Hart, a graduate of the Appalachian State University Master of Public Administration program, was hired as Boiling Springs Town Manager in 2012 after a brief time as the Assistant Town Manager in Dobson, NC. During Hart’s tenure in Boiling Springs, the Town has completed a number of projects including the construction of the Town Hall and Police Department building and the start of a major park project.

Per his employment agreement, Hart is working a 30-day notice. The Town Council have not yet announced plans in the interim but the Town’s leadership is committed to a smooth transition.
