Welcome to Our New Website

I am excited to welcome you to our new website. For many people, our website is the first and most frequent point of contact with their local government. For prospective residents, businesses, and visitors, our website may be their only glimpse of our incredible community. We want to put our best foot forward online and our new website will help us do that.

As you can see, the site is updated with a more polished look but there is a lot under the hood too. Some of the key features I am especially excited about include:

  • By clicking on the Stay Informed button your can sign up for notifications when information you are interested in gets posted to the website. If you just want to know when Town Council agendas are available, you can sign up for that. If you want to know about employment opportunities in just the Public Works Department, you can sign up for that. You can even subscribe to a calendar for your recycling route and receive a text message or email the evening before recycling is collected. It’s a highly customized way for people to keep informed about what is going on with the Town.
  • We are working with community partners to build a centralized listing of many of the facilities available in the community for the public to rent. You will be able get online and request a picnic shelter at the Town Park or a meeting room at the library on the same website.
  • Over half of the visitors to our website are using a tablet or smartphone. This website is mobile responsive so it works exactly the same and looks good across all devices and screen sizes.

Our new website is an important tool to elevate our community’s online presence, make it easier for residents to access town services, get information to our residents, and improve citizen engagement. As always, my door is open to everyone and I would love to talk with you about our new website or anything else on your mind.
